After graduating with a degree in Interior Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poland in 1983, Danuta Rogula became an artist and mother in the mid 1980's. Since immigrating to Canada in 1991, Danuta pursued her love of art through working on set design for animated films, and oil painting. With her children grown, she is now able to devote herself to painting full time.

She gains inspiration from the majestic beauty of the BC landscape, enjoys capturing the light, and conveying the sense of tranquility that she feels. She challenges herself to keep learning and growing by trying different mediums and styles, ranging from impressionistic images of a forest, done with a palette knife to highly textured abstracts or florals, done with beeswax and pigment. As an artist she is always willing to take chances, often with stunningly beautiful results.
